Please keep the Walking with Purpose leaders in your
prayers as they are in Dallas this weekend for the
FLOURISH Conference. Pray that the fruits of their trip
will bring more and more women to gather as sisters
in Christ, sharing life's joys and struggles and opening
and unpacking God's Word together. The Body of
Christ is community!
This weekend we celebrate a fun morning with our
youth learning more about our amazing saints, who
they were and what they loved. We also
remember all those loved ones who have died.
Our memorial is looking so beautiful and will be up
throughout November. It's not too late to add
photos. It makes your heart so full to see these
beautiful faces.
We will pack our shoe size boxes on November 3rd
so please get any donations for these into either
parish office. Let's make Christmas for the sweet
children of a poverty stricken third world country.
Help us show them Christ. And for the ladies of our
diocese who are traveling to Tanzania in November
to bring clean water to the village of Arusha, please
know that faith formation will be praying for you and
we will also keep you and the people of Arusha in
our NCYC prayer intentions.
Join Toby on Monday, November 11th at 2:00 pm at
Holy Redeemer for IGNATIUS OF LOYOLA- Soldier Sinner- Saint.
This is the story of a man, who in his
attempt to turn to the light, was forced to wrestle
with his inner demons to the very brink of death.
Based on the memoirs of a man who founded the
Jesuit order. This is a movie that will touch all
because we all wrestle with life,
discernment, sin and joy. Popcorn and
drinks served. Bring a friend. Bring a young
person- they are off of school!
Our crew going to NCYC this year in Long Beach will
be passing out M & M Minis at Masses this
weekend. Please consider returning the tube with a
donation to our lodging at the conference. Any
amount will make a difference in getting 47 pilgrims
across the country and to this amazing event for our
young Church. We are also doing a FALL CASH
BASH throughout November. Tickets are available
from any pilgrim or you can get one from Jennifer.
They are $20 each; only 300 will be sold. Prizes
include $1000.00; $750.00; 2 x $500.00; and
$250.00. Just in time for your Christmas shopping,
get one today before they are gone! For all the
donations we have received so far, we are so
grateful! Your generosity is overwhelming, and as
you will hear this weekend from our young people,
your investment is wise! THANK YOU!
With daylight savings time coming to an end,
beginning Monday November 4th, Holy Redeemer
will be locking up at 5:00 pm unless there is a
scheduled activity.
Holy Redeemer and the Faith Formation program will
be collecting toilet paper and paper towels for the
Christmas food baskets now through December 15th.
Please drop of at the parish office or in the gathering
space when at Mass.
Help local kids to stay warm with new coats this winter. Please mail your donation to
Warren KoC Council #964 PO Box 672 Warren, PA 16365. As little as $20 will help provide a child with a new winter coat but all donations are greatly appreciated!
